The Monotype brief required looking at a social issue and drawing attention to it through a typography driven campaign.
I chose the Syrian Refugee crisis and aimed my campaign at the UN and the EU - as they are the organisations who are supposed to offer the most relief.
The concept was based on the fact that the UN and the EU keep offering temporary solutions. I treated the Syrian refugee as a huge wound, that the UN and EU keep trying to fix with a small plaster.
Often situations like this are overlooked because individuals feel that they cannot contribute anything to help the crisis. Through the use of an online petition individuals were able to feel part of something bigger through a small action.
